Civil Engineering Intern – Highways

About the role

The Civil Engineering Intern will support highway and transport infrastructure projects across all stages of the project lifecycle, from concept design through construction and operation. Working within multidisciplinary teams, the intern will gain hands‑on experience on real‑world projects that shape communities.

Key responsibilities

• Support projects from concept design to construction and operation.
• Assist with engineering design, project coordination, technical documentation and site activities under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable solutions for transportation challenges.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits and learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Curious and eager to apply civil engineering studies in a professional environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, positive attitude and adaptability.
• Enrolled in the penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with interest in transport and roads.
• Available full‑time from 16 November 2026 to 19 February 2027 and have full working rights in Australia or New Zealand.
