Civil Director – NSW/VIC (Sydney)

About the role

ADG is seeking a senior Civil Director to lead and grow its civil engineering business across New South Wales and Victoria from its Sydney office. The role combines strategic market development, client relationship management, and technical oversight of high‑risk infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive regional growth by building a robust pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain senior relationships with government agencies (e.g., TfNSW) and Tier 1 contractors.
• Create and execute a regional business plan aligned with the national strategy.
• Provide technical governance and risk oversight on complex infrastructure projects.
• Identify and pursue major opportunities leveraging AtkinsRéalis global capabilities.
• Mentor senior engineers and develop high‑performing teams.
• Represent ADG in the market to strengthen brand positioning.

Required profile

• Credible civil engineering leader with a strong market presence in NSW/VIC.
• Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 20+ years of experience delivering and leading civil engineering outcomes.
• Proven track record of winning work and growing infrastructure business.
• Established relationships with TfNSW and Tier 1 contractors.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• Experience at senior leadership level shaping strategy and outcomes.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Extensive experience in civil infrastructure project governance and risk management.
