Civil Designer / Design Engineer (Residential Subdivision)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in the Greater Brisbane Area and focuses on designing civil infrastructure for residential subdivisions. You will create site plans, stormwater management systems, and erosion control solutions while supporting sustainable design practices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and design detailed site and subdivision plans.
• Develop stormwater management and erosion control strategies.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and other specialists to meet project objectives.
• Contribute to sustainable design solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing subdivisions in South East Queensland.
• Familiarity with residential or subdivision projects is an asset.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Intimate knowledge of QUDM is required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in civil engineering design and drafting.
• Experience with erosion control and stormwater management design.
• Knowledge of site‑plan and stormwater system design principles.
• Software: AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3D, and music.
