Civil / Construction Worker

About the role

Civil maintenance workers deliver the physical field work of planned and reactive maintenance and minor projects, under the direction of Field Supervisors, in line with quality, time, cost and customer service requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Hope Valley, South Australia, reporting to a Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and emergency maintenance and associated tasks, using works management systems and procedures efficiently
• Undertake planned and preventative maintenance and minor works, using the same systems and procedures
• Comply with health and safety legislation and Service Stream's safety and environmental policies, and promote health, safety and environmental initiatives in the field
• Consider HSE risks at all times and take part in site OH&S activities

Required profile

• Highly motivated, outcome-driven person with a passion for positive client outcomes and effective stakeholder engagement
• Current driver's licence, relevant tickets and a white card
• Ability to work outdoors in any weather, and to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Complete background checks, police clearance, medical and references

Required skills

• Skilled use of hand power tools and small machinery
• Knowledge of works management systems and procedures
