Christmas Kitchen Staff – Casual Positions

About the role

Join the festive team at one of Australia’s busiest airport lounges and help create memorable holiday meals. This casual position runs from October 2026 to February 2027, with the possibility of ongoing part‑time or full‑time work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate dishes for buffet and à la carte service during the holiday season.
• Assist with breakfast buffet setup, ensuring a variety of fresh menu items are presented creatively.
• Handle ingredient preparation – chopping, slicing, dicing and measuring.
• Maintain a clean, guest‑ready kitchen and support chefs with stock rotation, replenishment and inventory management.
• Minimise waste by following stock control procedures and food safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work under pressure, with flexible availability including weekends and public holidays.
• Positive attitude and willingness to bring Christmas cheer.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Valid RSA and food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to pass airport security clearance and Federal Police check.
