Chief Accounting Officer – Global Finance Leader

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing NYSE‑listed technology firm, is looking for a Chief Accounting Officer to lead the design, implementation, and management of its international financial infrastructure. Reporting directly to the CFO, the CAO will be the ultimate authority on accounting standards and financial governance across all global units.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and oversee a global accounting framework that ensures financial integrity, accuracy, and timely reporting.
• Serve as the final authority on US GAAP, IFRS, and AASB, managing multi‑entity consolidations, FX strategy, and transfer pricing.
• Build, scale, and stress‑test internal control frameworks, corporate governance policies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Advise the CFO and executive team on capital raises, corporate structuring, international expansion, and M&A due diligence.
• Lead treasury accounting, optimise working‑capital reporting, and maintain balance‑sheet integrity.
• Manage relationships with external audit partners, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies worldwide.
• Champion finance‑stack modernization through global ERP deployments, cloud accounting integrations, and automated workflows.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing international accounting team.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA or CPA.
• 10+ years of senior accounting and financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a top‑tier leadership role (e.g., Head of Finance, Group Controller, CAO).
• Proven experience in hyper‑growth technology environments such as cloud infrastructure, SaaS, deep‑tech, hardware, or data‑center markets.
• Strong track record of scaling finance functions and leading enterprise ERP transitions.
