Chef & Kitchen Hand – Monarto Safari Resort

About the role

Journey Beyond is looking for Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs and Kitchen Hands to join its team at Monarto Safari Resort and Safari Lodge, located less than an hour from Adelaide. The resort offers spacious rooms and suites, and is expanding with 20 luxury tents and a private lodge in 2026. The role covers the high-quality preparation and presentation of food across breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare unique menus, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction
• Maintain stock and inventory levels
• Keep food preparation areas clean, safe and hygienic, and ensure staff compliance with HACCP

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with industry experience in a fast-paced culinary environment (for chef positions)
• Passion for food and service, professionalism and immaculate personal presentation
• Strong understanding of food safety
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Availability early mornings, weekends and public holidays
