About the role

Join Pastore, the signature modern Italian restaurant at Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery, as a Chef de Partie. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver high‑quality, authentic Italian dishes in a luxury hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to Pastore’s standards.
• Maintain hygiene, organisation, and cleanliness in your section and the kitchen.
• Assist with menu preparation, portion control, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure seamless service.
• Support the Executive Chef in training and mentoring junior staff.
• Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal specials.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for Italian cuisine and creating high‑quality dishes.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining standards.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring junior team members.
• Flexibility to work a roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Required skills

• Experience as a Chef de Partie.
• Knowledge of Italian cooking techniques and wood‑fire methods.
