Chef de Partie

About the role

Royal on the Park Hotel & Suites in Brisbane is looking for a creative, enthusiastic Chef de Partie who wants to grow with its kitchen team. This is a full-time position requiring full working rights in Australia and full availability across a rotating roster, including early, late, weekend and public holiday shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Daily food preparation in line with food safety standards and practices
• Prepare the right quantities of food for each day of service
• Keep up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Work across all areas of the kitchen
• Support the Head Chef with ordering and stock control
• Work with other kitchen sections on cleanliness, wastage and cost control
• Complete weekly stocktakes
• Maintain compliance with all aspects of the Food Licence
• Go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and/or 3+ years' full-time experience as a chef
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to manage, train and develop junior staff
• Experience developing new dishes, concepts, menus and products

• Confidence and skill in all sections of a kitchen
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Consistent standards of quality, presentation and hygiene
• An eye for detail and a passion for creative, high-quality food
