About the role
Accor is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Novotel & ibis Sydney on Darling Harbour. You will own a designated section, preparing high‑quality dishes while upholding food safety and presentation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
- Lead, support and motivate team members, setting a positive example.
- Assist with menu planning, food preparation and stock level management.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, presentation and cost control.
- Train and coordinate apprentices and junior kitchen staff.
Required profile
- Relevant culinary qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel, restaurant or high‑volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
- Ability to supervise, coach and support junior team members.
- Flexible to work rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
Required skills
- HACCP and food safety compliance.
- Stock control and waste minimisation.
