Chef – Aged Care Dining

About the role

St Vincent's Care Services Carseldine, an 189-bed aged care facility offering residential living, independent living and community living services, is looking for a passionate Chef. You will prepare nutritious, multi-course meals and contribute ideas for diverse menus, working alongside an experienced team to raise the standard of aged care dining.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, multi-course meals for residents
• Contribute ideas for diverse and engaging menus
• Lead day-to-day kitchen production with the help of kitchen hands and keep the kitchen running smoothly
• Follow directives according to the care plan

Required profile

• Permanent part-time position
• Trade qualification in commercial cooking or chef
• Experience with volume cooking in hotels, healthcare or similar environments
• Excellent knowledge of food services, including chill production and planning dining service
• Compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Willingness to apply for a nationally coordinated criminal history check and an NDIS worker screening check (both essential)
