Change Management Specialist

About the role

Austal, Australia's global shipbuilder and defence prime contractor, is looking for a Change Management Specialist to provide advisory services to projects and capability initiatives across the SSA Enterprise, aligned with the Transformation Program. The role identifies and treats change management risks and supports the development of change management capability among project managers and leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver change management of projects and initiatives as directed by the Change Manager, supporting delivery of the SSA Transformation Program
• Manage a programme of projects delivering advisory and specialist services across the SSA Enterprise
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement project change plans
• Implement change management practices, processes, tools and activities
• Support the technical and change leadership development of Leaders, Change Champions and Project Managers
• Handle governance and reporting in line with SSA reporting requirements

Required profile

• At least 5 years' experience leading, facilitating and managing change in complex organisations, designing and implementing change management practices, processes and activities
• At least one Change Management certification at practitioner level or higher
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including managing change management communications
• Project management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines at once
