Centre Coordinator

About the role

The Centre Coordinator will provide maternity‑leave cover for 12 months, leading the planning, coordination and continuous improvement of the Clem Jones Centre for Ageing Dementia Research (CJCADR) programmes, funding processes and day‑to‑day operations. Reporting to the Centre Director and Queensland Brain Institute leadership, the role ensures strategic, financial and operational excellence in a high‑performing research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and continuously improve internal funding processes, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Drive operational planning and governance activities, track performance against strategic goals, and manage risk and compliance requirements.
• Provide high‑level financial oversight, including budget management, forecasting and reporting to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across QBI, the University and external partners.
• Contribute to communications, engagement and events that raise the Centre’s profile.

Required skills

• Program coordination, operations or management experience.
• Financial management skills, including budgeting, reporting and analytical capability.
• Experience supporting governance processes, committees, reporting and compliance frameworks.
