Catering Assistant - Aged Care

About the role

Cater Care, a 100% Australian-owned contract catering service provider operating across aged care, education, retirement, retail and remote services, is looking for a Catering Assistant to join its aged care team in Horsham. This is a permanent part-time position on a roster from Monday to Wednesday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, supporting the preparation and service of nutritious meals for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service delivery
• Prepare and present texture-modified foods with care and precision
• Deliver friendly, efficient service
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen hand, catering assistant or hospitality role
• Exposure to aged care, healthcare or contract catering environments (desirable)
• Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently under pressure
• Good communication skills, a positive team attitude and a respectful, caring approach to aged care
• Current year flu vaccination and willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check
