Casual Trainer of Care and Support Workers

About the role

HealthNsure Training is looking for Registered Nurse trainers to deliver training to small groups of care and support workers and other healthcare workers. The position is casual with variable days of the week, and involves travelling throughout Adelaide and country areas. Applicants must be currently in practice and deeply passionate about training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions to small groups of care and support workers and other healthcare workers
• Work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while being part of a flexible, positive team
• Travel to venues across Adelaide and country areas

Required profile

• AHPRA registration
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Registered Nurse or higher-level qualification
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
• Recent classroom teaching experience
• Full unconditional driving licence and a reliable vehicle
• Police clearance and DCSI clearance (child, disability and aged care)
• Certificates of COVID-19 vaccination (three doses); a 2021 influenza vaccine and two doses of COVID-19 may also be required depending on the venue

Required skills

• Computer literacy
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team player

The salary depends on years of experience and credentials and is negotiable. Extensive background checks are required, including references, employment validation, proof of Australian working rights, qualifications, police clearances and ID checks; some venues may also require proof of vaccination records.
