Casual Specialised Carer - Residential Care

About the role

HammondCare Miranda is looking for casual Specialised Carers for its residential care home. The role centres on providing tailored care, including personal support, so that residents feel at home. All new staff complete an onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and are supported by experienced Registered Nurses and Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as showering, grooming and toileting
• Engage with residents' lives
• Support residents who live with dementia
• Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in residents' condition

Required profile

• Genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a difference in their lives
• Flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends
• Team player who can also work independently and show initiative
• Knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs
• Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care viewed favourably
