About the role
HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing aged care volunteer visitors, is looking for a patient and friendly social volunteer to visit a female client on a weekly basis. The client would greatly appreciate IT assistance with her devices and apps, alongside friendly conversation and regular company.
Key responsibilities
- Visit the client once a week (or fortnightly, depending on availability) for about one hour, between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday.
- Help the client navigate her device and manage apps so she feels more confident online.
- Provide social interaction and a friendly chat while giving practical help.
Required profile
- 18 years or older.
- A national volunteer police check, arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
- Availability for a one-hour visit during the week; visits could be weekly or fortnightly depending on your schedule.
