Casual Personal Care Worker (Adelaide)

About the role

HenderCare provides care services to help service recipients maintain their independence and improve their well-being. As demand for its services grows, it is looking for dedicated support workers to support clients in their homes in Adelaide. This is a casual role with shifts of 2 to 6 hours, suited to those who can handle several shorter shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care, such as showering and dressing
• Community access support
• Person transfers
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating
• Light domestic duties
• Respite and social support

Required profile

• Caring nature, with encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication and strong time management
• Empathetic, understanding and patient with the needs of others
• Previous experience providing personal care and domestic services to people with a disability or in the aged care sector is essential
• Full driver's licence and access to your own car

Required skills

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
• Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID012)
• Provide CPR certificate (HLTAID009)
• Manual handling certificate (HTLWHS005)
• Current National Police Check, Working with Children Check (employee type), NDIS Workers Check and current driver's licence
