Casual Personal Care Worker - Angaston

About the role

HenderCare is looking for a casual Support Worker to provide home-based support to clients in the Angaston area. Shifts range from 2 to 6 hours, and the role suits people who can handle several shorter shifts. The position is described as a casual role.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care, such as showering and dressing
• Community access support
• Person transfers
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating
• Light domestic duties
• Respite and social support

Required profile

• Caring nature, with encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication and strong time management
• Empathetic, understanding and patient with the needs of others
• Previous experience providing personal care and domestic services to people with a disability or in the aged care sector is essential
• Full driver's licence and access to your own car

Required skills

• Certificate 3 in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
• Current Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID012)
• Current Provide CPR certificate (HLTAID009)
• Current Manual Handling certificate
• Current National Police check, Working with Children check and NDIS Workers check
