Casual Merchandise Salesperson - Kempsey

About the role

Norco AgriSolutions is looking for a casual merchandise salesperson for its retail store in Kempsey. This is a flexible casual role with shifts offered on an as-needed basis to support the busy store, with a competitive hourly rate. The employer describes itself as Australia's only 100% Australian, farmer-owned dairy co-operative.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with their rural product needs, provide friendly customer service and process sales transactions.
• Merchandise and present the store to a high standard.
• Assist with stock receipting, replenishment, dispatch and stocktakes.
• Safely operate a forklift and handle products, load customer vehicles and deliver products when required.
• Prepare customer quotes and assist with product enquiries.
• Work closely with teammates to support the day-to-day operation of the store.

Required profile

• Driver's licence essential; forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and Saturdays as required.
• Experience in retail, warehousing, customer service or a similar hands-on environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting; strong commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of livestock, pasture, farming inputs or the rural sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• Sound computer skills, including POS systems and Microsoft applications.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• HV licence highly regarded.
