Casual Front Office Receptionist

About the role

Stamford Plaza Brisbane, a 5-star luxury hotel on the banks of the river near the Botanic Gardens, is looking for a casual Front Office Receptionist to join its Front Office Department. You will provide reception and front desk services that ensure maximum guest satisfaction and meet the standards of the property, dealing with high-profile guests such as politicians, musicians and bands in a confidential way.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional 5-star customer service
• Upsell and suggestively sell to enhance the guest experience
• Maintain punctuality, efficiency and courtesy at all times
• Promote the company's philosophies, creeds and core values
• Provide a personal service to guest requirements and follow it through to completion
• Stay aware of VIP guest movements, hotel events and local attractions and activities
• Work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Required profile

• A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4 or 5-star environment
• Excellent communication skills with guests, management and team members
• An eye for detail and a strong sense of teamwork
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

Required skills

• Experience with the Opera property management system is an advantage
