Casual Educator – Trainee

About the role

One Tree Paraburdoo Children's Service, a long day care centre in Paraburdoo, Western Australia, is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable casual educator / trainee. The centre offers 80 places for children aged 0-5 years, open 6.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and also provides outside school hours care. No formal qualifications are required; candidates are expected to undertake a Certificate III traineeship.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning and development
• Willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, where applicable
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Good communication and teamwork skills, and a friendly, patient, enthusiastic approach
• Willingness to learn, follow service policies and procedures, and commit to child safety
• Flexibility to work casual shifts based on service needs
• Eligible to work in Australia, with a valid WA Working with Children Check and a current National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
