Casual Domestic Assistant (Adelaide)

About the role

HenderCare is seeking enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individuals to join its team as casual Domestic Assistants in Adelaide. The role is based in the community, supporting clients in their own homes to keep a clean, safe and comfortable living environment and to promote independence and wellbeing through essential household support.

Key responsibilities

• General house cleaning such as vacuuming, mopping and dusting
• Assisting with laundry and linen changing
• Assistance with meal preparation
• Unaccompanied shopping
• Keeping service recipients' homes clean, hygienic and homely according to each person's needs and wishes

Required profile

• Previous experience in domestic assistance, cleaning or similar roles preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Physical ability to perform cleaning and household tasks
• Availability for flexible working hours across the day, supporting multiple clients
• Own vehicle and Australian driver's licence
• Right to work in Australia; pre-employment checks apply

Required skills

• Reliable smartphone compatible with the AlayaCare app for roster access (iOS 16+ or Android 10+)
• Current National Police Check
• Current Working with Children's Check (employee type)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
