Casual Cook - Aged Care Kitchen

About the role

HammondCare Waratah is looking for a casual cook to join its Support Services team. You will work in the main kitchen of the Waratah facility, which caters for 232 residents, and help deliver high-quality food service in line with the organisation's care model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook bulk meals for the facility's residents
• Work in the main kitchen in a commercial setting
• Follow vulnerable persons food safety guidelines, or learn them quickly
• Apply safe manual handling practices

Required profile

• Experience cooking for large numbers in a commercial kitchen
• Experience preparing and cooking bulk meals
• Willingness to learn aged care food preparation and safety standards
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
