Part-Time Weekend Cook

About the role

HammondCare Waratah is looking for a part-time weekend cook to join its Support Services team. You will work in the main kitchen of the Waratah facility, which caters for 232 residents, delivering high-quality food service in line with the organisation's care model.

Key responsibilities

• Cook for large groups in a commercial kitchen environment
• Prepare and cook bulk meals
• Follow vulnerable persons guidelines for food safety, or learn them quickly
• Apply safe manual handling practices
• Learn the required standards for aged care food preparation and safety

Required profile

• Available to work Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
• Experience cooking for large numbers in a commercial kitchen
• Experience preparing and cooking bulk meals
• Understanding of safe manual handling practices
• Willingness to learn aged care food safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
