Casual Care Aide - Gosnells and Surrounds

About the role

Silverchain is recruiting Care Aides for a casual role in Gosnells and surrounding areas of Western Australia, mainly needed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 7:00am and 3:00pm. Applicants must live in Canning Vale, Gosnells, Harrisdale, Huntingdale, Martin, Piara Waters or Southern River. The role involves delivering personal care and support while travelling between clients' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and support that promotes client independence
• Provide personal care: showering, grooming and toileting
• Assist with medication as required
• Prepare meals and support clients with nutrition needs
• Provide domestic assistance and general housekeeping
• Offer social support and community engagement
• Follow a predetermined schedule while travelling between clients' homes
• Use a mobile app to access and follow digital schedules and care plans independently

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence with unrestricted access to a registered, insured vehicle in good condition (essential)
• Reliable vehicle and ability to work autonomously in the community, following a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC or Disability is highly desirable; holders need at least 3 months of relevant care worker experience, others 6+ months (FTE)
• Experience in a home care or community setting is highly desirable

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence using a mobile app to follow schedules and care plans

• $46.11 per hour inclusive of 25% loading, plus superannuation
