Casual Assistant in Nursing – Bungarribee and Guildford

About the role

Northcott, a not-for-profit disability service provider, is recruiting several casual Assistants in Nursing to join its team at Bungarribee and Guildford. The role delivers personalised, high-quality nursing care to a diverse range of customers using a person-centred approach, working on a 24/7 rotating roster including overnight, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, hygiene and daily living tasks, including domestic duties.
• Support customers with complex care needs while promoting dignity and respect.
• Be committed to positive outcomes for the people you support.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in disability or aged care, particularly in group home settings.
• Proven experience in PEG feeding and safe swallowing support, epilepsy management and responding to challenging behaviour.
• Experience providing bowel care support and assisting with personal care and grooming.
• A current Australian driver's licence and the ability to drive a 12-seater, wheelchair-accessible van.

Required skills

• Manual handling competency, including hoist operation and repositioning.
• Flexibility, compassion and confidence in a team setting.
