Casual Aged Care Worker (FIFO)

About the role

selectability is recruiting compassionate, dedicated and flexible casual Aged Care Workers to join its growing FIFO workforce in Lower Gulf, North Queensland. The role supports older and vulnerable people living in remote communities, working alongside the Regional Manager, Registered Nurse and wider healthcare team to deliver person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, wellbeing and meaningful connections.

Key responsibilities

• Provide responsive, person-centred care tailored to the individual needs of older and vulnerable persons
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team in a remote community setting
• Follow policies, procedures and professional standards, and respect diverse cultures and backgrounds

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Home & Community Care, Aged Care or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care, disability, community services or a related field (desirable)
• Experience in regional or remote communities (desirable)
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain) and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety and You"
• Current Queensland driver licence (minimum P1, C class)
• Current nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Current influenza vaccination (recommended)
• Ability to work FIFO rosters, including day, afternoon and night shifts
