Care Assistant – Residential Aged Care

About the role

Newcastle Anglican is seeking Care Assistants to join its team at Mirrabooka Place, a residential aged care home in Gloucester, NSW. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing care to seniors, working in a team environment where respect, compassion and integrity enhance the wellbeing of residents. Permanent shifts are available, including weekend mornings and afternoons, weekday short shifts, and weekday and weekend night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, person-centred care to residents
• Promote the organisation's positive culture through interactions with residents, staff and families
• Accurately document residents' care and progress
• Observe confidentiality in all documentation and communications
• Abide by Aged Care Standards and work as an effective team member

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Health Service Assistance, or BA Nursing students in their second or third year
• Current First Aid certificate (ongoing requirement) or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in Australia
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with effective written and verbal communication
