Cafe Attendant – Northport Café

About the role

The Northport Café Attendant works alongside the Café Supervisor to deliver memorable guest experiences for visitors travelling to and from Rottnest Island. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast‑paced tourism environment and values direct interaction with guests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional and engaging guest experiences with consistent service.
• Take and serve customer orders, operating the coffee machine and other café equipment.
• Prepare, present, and cook food while maintaining high‑standard food displays.
• Assist with café menu development and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Process customer purchases accurately through the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café, kitchen, and dining areas, including tables and chairs.
• Adhere to operational procedures, WHS requirements, and relevant food handling standards.

• Team player with a positive "can‑do" attitude.
• Flexible to work varied hours, including early starts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Operation of coffee machines and café equipment.
• Use of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
