Cafe and Functions Assistant

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is looking for energetic, kind-hearted Café All-Rounders to join its team at The Ponds. As a Café and Functions Assistant you will create a warm, home-like atmosphere for residents while serving coffee and supporting events and activities in the village.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver warm, friendly customer service
• Prepare food and beverages, including making espresso coffee
• Operate the POS system and manage payments
• Keep the café tidy, welcoming and ready, from setup to clean-up
• Support events and activities that bring life to the village

Required profile

• Responsible Service of Alcohol and Working with Children clearances
• 6 months of food service or front-of-house experience, with barista skills
• Commute within 20 minutes of the location
• Availability Monday to Friday during family-friendly hours
• Preferred: Food Handling Certificate and hospitality/customer service experience
