Buyer Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Buyer Engagement Coordinator supports Retail Show Australia’s events by managing communication and engagement with buyers before, during and after each show. This part‑time, on‑site position ensures a smooth and professional experience for buyers throughout the trade‑show lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm buyer meetings and maintain accurate records in engagement and registration systems.
• Respond promptly to buyer inquiries via phone, email and in person.
• Organise buyer lists, prepare engagement materials and coordinate with internal teams for event preparation.
• Greet buyers on event days, assist with check‑in, monitor appointment attendance and collect feedback.
• Support on‑site logistics, including standing for extended periods and handling documentation.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and relationship‑building ability.
• Proactive problem‑solving with high attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work around event schedules and collaborate across teams.
• Mandarin language proficiency is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office productivity tools such as spreadsheets, email and calendar applications.
• Ability to learn and use event or CRM systems.
• Mandarin language skills.
