Business Technology Platform Owner – Brisbane

About the role

This position is with a leading Queensland Government client and focuses on the strategic governance, operational management, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology platforms. The role is hybrid, based in Brisbane CBD, and runs on a fixed‑term contract until August 2027 with possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of assigned business technology platforms, covering strategy, governance, operations and improvement.
• Develop and maintain platform roadmaps aligned with organisational priorities and digital transformation goals.
• Act as the primary business representative and subject‑matter expert, providing strategic advice to stakeholders and senior management.
• Manage platform performance, availability, service levels and user adoption to achieve business outcomes.
• Lead identification, assessment, prioritisation and implementation of platform enhancements and new capabilities.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, data and technology teams to ensure solutions meet operational and strategic requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience governing platforms such as SAP BTP, SAP ESM, Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform or Oracle Cloud.
• Proven ability in technology governance, roadmap design and alignment with business needs.
• Strong skills in gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Solid understanding of risk management, compliance frameworks and cybersecurity awareness.
• Experience driving organisational adoption and managing change effectively.
