Business Tax Specialist | Director

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Director for its Business Tax team in Sydney. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services to privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups, working with clients across property and construction, consumer markets, technology and financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of comprehensive tax advisory, planning and compliance services for private businesses.
• Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring.
• Manage client relationships, identify opportunities for additional services and guide clients through ATO reviews or audits.
• Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to a high-performance team culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private business tax advisory and compliance, with strong knowledge of tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyse complex financial and tax issues and give clear, strategic advice across multiple industries.
• Excellent client management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities, seeking support when needed.
• A collaborative leader who can mentor and develop junior staff.
