Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

The Business Intelligence Developer will join CQUniversity’s Business Intelligence and Analytics team, supporting data‑driven decision‑making across the university. You will design, build and maintain data‑warehouse solutions, reporting tools, dashboards and analytics platforms that turn complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data‑warehouse architectures and ETL processes.
• Create and optimise reporting tools, interactive dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Translate complex data sets into clear, meaningful information for business improvement.
• Collaborate with faculties, divisions and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing business intelligence solutions, dashboards, data models and reporting tools in a complex organisation.
• Strong technical capability in SQL, data warehousing, data analytics and BI technologies.
• Ability to analyse complex data and communicate insights to support decision‑making.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
• Relevant qualifications or extensive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, information systems or a related discipline.
