Business Development / Sales Executive

About the role

Marsh is seeking a Business Development / Sales Executive to join its Perth team. This hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office and offers an entry point for recent graduates or early‑career professionals to build a career in business development.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business across Marsh by cultivating relationships with corporate and mid‑market prospects.
• Maintain and develop accounts, using up‑sell and cross‑sell opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Manage a prospect pipeline in the Marsh CRM, moving opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Conduct market and industry research to identify new prospects and support sales activity.
• Lead the development and delivery of proposals and presentations, and negotiate terms in line with Marsh’s operating model.

Required profile

• Previous sales, business development, or agency recruitment experience.
• Strong communication, influencing, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Marsh Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Ability to conduct target market and industry research.
