Business Development Representative – Tasmania

About the role

We are seeking a driven, customer‑focused Business Development Representative to grow our portfolio of existing and new customers across Tasmania. Working autonomously in the field, you will represent leading electrical, automation and industrial technology brands while building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with key customers, contractors, wholesalers and end‑users.
• Drive sales growth and profitability within the assigned territory.
• Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities while strengthening existing partnerships.
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals and tailored solutions.
• Maintain an active pipeline and accurate customer records using CRM.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Coordinate customer presentations, product demonstrations and training programs.
• Collaborate with NHP specialists and internal teams to deliver complete electrical and automation solutions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Business Development, Territory Sales or Account Management.
• Electrical trade or engineering qualifications, or relevant industry experience (highly regarded).
• Strong commercial mindset with a proven record of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, time‑management and organisational skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated approach and passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
