Business Development Manager – Reseller Channel Partnerships

About the role
Square is expanding its omnichannel solutions and is looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its Global Reseller Community. Reporting to the Head of Reseller Channel Partnerships, you will own the end‑to‑end partnership lifecycle and drive revenue through strategic reseller relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, recruit and onboard new reseller partners worldwide.
- Drive distribution of Square’s products through the reseller channel.
- Lead all phases of deal execution: target selection, prospect meetings, business case development, deal structuring, negotiation, contract signing and partnership launch.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Sales and Legal to ensure seamless partner integration.
- Own the business results of each partnership and continuously optimize performance.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience signing, launching and scaling distribution partnerships with ISOs, ISVs or VARs.
- Proven track record of measurable new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Deep knowledge of the global reseller landscape, market dynamics and key challenges.
- Strong analytical ability to demonstrate ROI for partner initiatives.
- Excellent project‑management skills and experience leading cross‑functional, global initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with the capacity to identify and act on growth opportunities.
