Business Development Manager – Pharmacy & Aged Care

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to accelerate market penetration and build sustainable partnerships across the pharmacy and aged‑care sectors for our Avitum division. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing – Ambulatory Care, you will combine strategic planning with hands‑on sales execution to grow our premium portfolio of wound, urinary, ostomy and infection‑prevention products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to meet revenue targets and increase market share.
• Map, prioritize and nurture relationships with procurement managers, pharmacists and C‑suite decision‑makers in pharmacy chains, residential aged‑care providers and home‑care operators.
• Lead joint business planning and account reviews to drive product introductions and category expansion.
• Collaborate with Avitum distributors, marketing, customer service and operations teams to launch campaigns and education programs.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce CRM.

Required profile

• Proven track record in business development or sales within healthcare, pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
• Deep understanding of the Australian pharmacy and/or aged‑care landscape.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence senior commercial and clinical stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset to translate data insights into proactive sales pipelines.
• Self‑driven, resilient and comfortable working autonomously.
• Full working rights in Australia/NZ, a valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel nationally and internationally, and full COVID‑19 vaccination.
