Business Development Manager - MICE

About the role

Join Avani Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley to lead corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) sales. You will represent a premier resort destination and drive revenue growth through new business acquisition and client partnership development.

Key responsibilities

• Drive corporate and MICE revenue growth through proactive sales activity.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and build strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners and industry partners.
• Grow existing accounts, maximise repeat business and conduct client meetings, site inspections and familiarisation visits.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and secure group bookings and events.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity.

Required profile

• Hospitality sales experience, ideally within the MICE or corporate market.
• Proven ability to generate new business and grow key accounts.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
• Passion for hospitality, events and creating exceptional client experiences.
