About the role

MineARC Systems, a West Australian manufacturer of life-saving refuge chambers and related technologies for underground mining, tunnelling, petrochemical, biotechnology and agricultural industries, is looking for a Business Development Manager. The role leads the opening of new markets and strengthening of strategic partnerships, with a focus on the Australian market.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic business development plans across key mining operations
Secure new business opportunities within the Australian market
Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions with senior stakeholders
Monitor and facilitate chamber maintenance procedures in line with OEM recommendations
Engage in technical and commercial discussions and coordinate demonstrations, trials and training
Provide market and customer insights to inform product and service development
Monitor the second-hand market and identify refurbishment opportunities
Achieve the sales budget in consultation with the Technical Assurance Manager and General Manager
Process new sales leads, prepare, send and follow up quotes
Present MineARC's capabilities at expos and trade shows

Required profile

Extensive experience in business development within mining, industrial or safety-related sectors
Strong commercial acumen, able to structure and negotiate opportunities
Technically confident, able to explain complex topics clearly
Ability to present at conferences, corporate functions and to all levels of an organisation
Strategic thinker, self-driven and comfortable working autonomously
Willingness to travel at least one week per month domestically and internationally
