Business Development Manager

About the role

Ligentia, a global supply chain solutions provider, is expanding its Oceania footprint and seeks a hunter‑focused Business Development Manager to drive new‑business growth across freight forwarding, 3PL warehousing, customs and transport.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and close new business across the full service portfolio.
• Own the complete sales cycle from qualification to proposal, negotiation, closing and implementation support.
• Build and maintain a self‑generated pipeline through networking, referrals and targeted outreach.
• Grow existing accounts via cross‑sell and up‑sell of services.
• Collaborate with Operations, Account Management, Customer Service and Solution Design to deliver seamless outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in freight & logistics or freight forwarding sales.
• Proven success winning and expanding multi‑service accounts across various industry verticals.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel interstate.
• Self‑driven, resilient approach to a fast‑paced, competitive market.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
