Business Development Manager - Construction Sector

About the role

A recruitment agency is recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of a globally recognised market leader with a strong Australian presence. The role represents the brand and acts as the sole local representative in Western Australia, driving sales growth across the builder, retail and commercial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive sales growth across builders, retail and commercial sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with builders, developers, contractors, architects and key project stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new projects in commercial construction, education, healthcare, aged care, mining and infrastructure.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and specification through to negotiation and project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored, end-to-end solutions.
• Grow existing accounts while pursuing new business to expand market share.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and project pipelines, and keep an accurate sales pipeline.
• Achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, account management or sales in the building, construction or commercial sectors.
• Strong existing network and established relationships in the WA building and construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and secure new business and project-based sales.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence builders, developers, contractors and key decision makers.
• Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and to build the WA market as the sole local representative.
