Business Development Manager, Commercial Interiors

About the role

An established Australian supplier of design-led interior products for commercial projects is looking for a Business Development Manager to own the Queensland market. The sales team is supported by in-house design, estimating and project support, and there is a Brisbane showroom. The role is hybrid, with a Brisbane CBD base and plenty of time out in the market, and reports to the Commercial Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own commercial business development across Brisbane and Queensland
• Work with architects, interior designers, builders, developers and contractors
• Find projects early and run them from first conversation through specification, quote, negotiation and delivery
• Build new business and grow an existing commercial client base

Required profile

• A&D or specification sales in any interior product (flooring, tiles, lighting, furniture, joinery, wall finishes, acoustics or window furnishings)
• Commercial project sales experience with builders, fit-out contractors and developers, holding a spec through to site
• Experience as an electrical, building products or commercial furniture rep with an existing Brisbane A&D network
• Understanding of how a commercial interior gets specified and delivered in Brisbane, whether you have sold into it or worked in it
• Existing relationships with Brisbane architects and designers are a big plus

What we offer

• $100,000 to $110,000 base plus superannuation
