Business Development Manager - Capital Equipment Sales

About the role

A privately owned business supplying a premium, Australian-made range of capital equipment (water tanks, customised tank solutions and industrial storage systems) to the mining, civil, agricultural and industrial sectors is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager. The role drives capital equipment sales and grows a dealership network across Western Australia. It is a road-based position, with three to four days per week spent meeting new clients face to face, and a fully maintained company vehicle and all necessary tools are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new capital equipment sales opportunities across WA
• Conduct face-to-face client meetings and product demonstrations three to four days per week
• Manage client relationships from initial enquiry through to installation and ongoing support
• Develop and expand the dealership network throughout the state
• Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline records in the CRM
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Required profile

• Proven experience in capital equipment sales or business development
• Background in the mining, civil or industrial sectors
• Comfortable in a predominantly road-based role with regular face-to-face client meetings
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout WA

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen and a solution-focused approach to sales
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of water infrastructure, fluid handling or mobile equipment is highly regarded but not essential
