Business Analyst, P&C Platforms

About the role

Ampol is hiring a Business Analyst for its Technology, Digital and Data team in Alexandria. You will act as the bridge between business needs and technology, translating requirements, mapping dependencies and processes, managing several concurrent projects and driving outcomes from concept through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Link business stakeholders and technical teams so that requirements for complex technical solutions are clear, aligned and actionable.
• Gather, analyse and document business and user requirements, using appropriate models and techniques.
• Run impact and gap analyses to define current and future state processes and identify opportunities and dependencies across systems.
• Turn requirements into testable outcomes, define acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
• Help stakeholders develop business cases and evaluate options such as build versus buy, process changes and integrations.
• Support end-to-end delivery, from requirements through design, testing, implementation and transition to operations.
• Facilitate workshops, influence decision-making and push back constructively to ensure clarity and quality.

Required profile

• Proven business analysis experience in large, complex environments.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and balance priorities across teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to engage at all levels.
• Adaptable, pragmatic mindset comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Attention to detail and ability to turn complex problems into clear insights.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Experience with P&C systems (Payroll, RTA, WFM and HRIS) strongly preferred.
• Certifications such as BABOK, ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or Agile are highly regarded.
