Delivery Lead, Finance Platforms

About the role

Ampol is looking for a Delivery Lead for its Finance platforms, within Tech, Digital & Data. The role leads, plans, governs and delivers initiatives across Finance platforms, connecting platform priorities with operational and downstream demand so that dependencies, risks and decisions are visible and delivery commitments are met. It oversees the delivery lifecycle of Finance applications, including SAP and other enterprise systems, using Agile, DevOps and project management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Finance and ERP initiatives, with a strong focus on SAP.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues and dependencies across SAP and adjacent finance systems.
• Apply knowledge of core SAP Finance processes and cross-module integration (Finance, Sales & Distribution, Procure-to-Pay, invoice-to-pay).
• Oversee testing across user, UAT, integration and post-production phases and monitor delivery performance.
• Build relationships with Finance leaders, business stakeholders, SAP vendors and system integrators, and facilitate alignment across senior stakeholders.
• Provide regular reporting on delivery status, risks, financials and key decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop delivery professionals, and support transition to support, service management and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• SAP expertise with the credibility to lead a senior, experienced SAP team.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technology delivery teams in a complex enterprise environment, including internal resources, external vendors, system integrators and managed service providers.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets, roadmaps, risks, dependencies, issues and delivery governance, ideally using Jira.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, business leaders and technical teams.

Required skills

• Solid working knowledge of SAP Finance and its integration with other modules, including experience delivering SAP upgrades or transformation programs, ideally including S/4HANA.
• Understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with structured testing approaches (user, UAT, integration, hypercare).
