Business Analyst - Group Life

About the role

TAL, a life insurer backed by Daiichi Life, is looking for a Business Analyst in Sydney. The role supports Group Life stakeholders by developing business and digital solutions, managing system changes, handling daily support activities and documenting new or changed processes and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing business processes, identify improvements and design future-state processes that improve customer experience, efficiency and implementation outcomes.
• Partner with business and engineering teams to gather requirements, turn them into user stories and documentation, and support backlog prioritisation across the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate digital initiatives, including user acceptance testing, implementation planning, release documentation, training and post-implementation reviews.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Group Life partners, supporting change requests, deployments, system and process issues, incidents and pre-sales or account management.
• Facilitate internal and external workshops, manage risks and issues, report status regularly and keep stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• Extensive experience and knowledge of business analysis in a digital environment, focused on building customer experiences.
• Background in Agile delivery with practical use of modern digital frameworks.
• Life insurance knowledge is highly desirable.

• Desirable certifications: CSPO, ASPO, CSM, A-SCM, Business Analysis or Project Management
