Bus Coordinator / Groundsperson

About the role

Harvest Christian College, a co-educational, multi-denominational school within the Tyndale Group of Christian schools, is looking for a reliable, practical and self-motivated Bus Coordinator/Groundsperson. The role combines coordinating the college's bus services with general groundskeeping and maintenance, so that students can travel safely to and from school and the grounds and facilities stay safe, tidy and well maintained. It is permanent or part-time (negotiable), commencing in January 2027 if possible, based in Kadina.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate school bus services, including routes, schedules, student lists and transport communications
• Liaise with families, staff and bus operators about transport arrangements and enquiries
• Drive college buses safely on designated routes and for excursions and other school activities, completing vehicle safety checks and reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate transport records
• Maintain grounds, gardens and outdoor areas to a high standard
• Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and upkeep of buildings, equipment and facilities
• Report maintenance issues, hazards and safety concerns
• Help set up and pack down school events and activities

Required profile

• Dependable, organised and practical, able to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Current driver's licence and a safe driving record
• Willingness to obtain First Aid training
• Sincere commitment to Jesus Christ and Christian education, and regular church attendance
• Desirable: relevant bus driving, transport coordination, maintenance or groundskeeping experience

• Basic computer programs, email and record-keeping systems
