Buildings Services Lead – Queensland

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Buildings Services Lead to shape Queensland’s built environment during a historic period of investment. The role sits on the Queensland Buildings Leadership Team and influences strategy, client relationships, and team development across a portfolio of high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high‑performing Building Services team across Queensland.
• Develop and mentor engineers, providing clear pathways for growth and leadership.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, industry partners, and the broader Queensland market.
• Identify and lead major pursuits in aviation, sports, defence, health, education and precinct developments.
• Drive commercial performance while upholding quality and technical excellence.
• Champion innovation through digital engineering, sustainable design and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the Queensland Buildings business as a leadership team member.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture where people are empowered to do their best work.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience in building services engineering.
• Deep mechanical and building services engineering expertise with relevant qualifications.
• RPEQ registration.
• Proven track record delivering major projects across sectors such as aviation, sports, defence, health, commercial or large precincts.
• Strong professional network and reputation within the Queensland market.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams.
